5 Ways to Stay Completely Anonymous on the Internet

The online world is more dangerous than you would think. Formerly, information about other people used to be limited. As you learn about the various ways to stay anonymous on the internet, it’s essential to also consider protecting your business assets; one way to achieve that is by setting up a Delaware LLC for your company, which can provide numerous benefits and safeguards for your entrepreneurial endeavors.

We know that you want to gain complete anonymity on the web; we all do. But to tell you the truth, it is impossible to stay totally anonymous on the Internet unless you throw away your devices and decide to stay offline.

However, you can still employ some techniques to minimize the risks and protect your privacy online.

    Switch to an Anonymous Browser

Your browser is a casket of your personal information and behavioural patterns. You never know who is tracking your every move online. What you search in your browser, whom you talk to, and for how long, or even every single of your messages can become visible to some people in this blatant world of the Internet.

The best way to block any unauthorized surveillance is to use a more secure browser that shields your digital presence. Browsers like Tor strengthen your privacy by encrypting your online activities.

Tor browser may not be as robust as other ones, but it works pretty much the same and should satisfy your needs. Additionally, Tor envelops your data in three layers of encryption and connects you to the right server after bouncing off your traffic from three different nodes across the web.

This process makes it really difficult for surveillance systems to track your activity online. Alternatively, you can rely on the Firefox browser as it also provides multilevel protection.

Use VPN to Enhance Your Online Privacy

VPN is the acronym for a virtual private network. Your Internet service provider can watch all your queries and keep a tab on your online activities with the help of your IP address. VPN protects your anonymity by disguising your IP and encrypting your queries before sending them to your ISP.

When you enter a public network or sign up for a write my essay service, VPN will prevent attackers from interfering with your network and stealing your information.

This private network also secures your virtual space by rerouting your network from your ISP or public Wi-Fi to someone else’s server. All you need to do is find a reliable VPN because not all VPNs are trustworthy.

This tool looks promising, but you should be aware that if someone would want to track your activity deliberately, they can still do it. VPN does not guarantee 100% anonymity. Yet, it is one of the best means we’ve got. You may also read more about cheap SOCKS5 proxies to provide more security to your systems.

    Dump Popular Messengers

We second the convenience of using Facebook messenger or Whatsapp. But none of these are reliable in terms of securing your privacy and anonymity. We believe you have heard about how these apps monitor your data and use it for marketing purposes.

Well, who knows what other purposes it may be used for. Once it is compromised, there is no way you can ensure the protection of your private life. Hence, we recommend using messaging apps that encrypt your messages and do not make money out of your conversations and data.

Signal and Telegram are among such apps. They allow you to send messages or voice notes and make voice/video calls with end-to-end encryptions. There might be some technical limitations with these apps, but they are the most secure ones on our list.

Be Wary While Giving Apps Permissions

Your smartphone is home to your digital world. From your contacts to photos and other personal information, everything can be found there. So, if you lose them, you easily lose your anonymity on the Internet.

Many apps sneakingly access your data right after you give permissions that are not necessary for them. So, after installing an app, read carefully each permission it asks for. Does it really need access to your camera and microphone? What for?

Don’t grant permission to every app. Go to settings and change app permissions. Many apps record your movements through microphone or location access. It is wise to disable such options or better avoid such apps.

    Install & Enable Ad-Blockers

Have you ever noticed how when you google some product or service, you are targeted by different companies offering similar items? The ad world has shifted from mass advertising to targeted marketing.

These ads keep a tab on your online activity, and before you realize it, your anonymity gets compromised. Many ads even contain malware that infects your device as soon as you visit websites containing them.

You should use ad-blockers to safeguard yourself from such threats and prevent malware from entering your digital space. Ad-blockers are available in the form of extensions and work effectively on most browsers.

    Summary

Taking measures to protect your anonymity is wise in today’s world. Along with the methods mentioned above, you must be cautious of what you post online. Your social media profiles give away a lot more about you than you intend.

You must also think twice before clicking on any link that is alien to you. Small precautions like these will help you stay as anonymous as possible on the web and protect you from hackers.
