Job Hunting? 3 Ways You Can Make Jobs Come to You!

We all know that searching for a new job takes a lot of time and effort, so wouldn’t it be easier if the jobs came to you?

Finding your next opportunity will be challenging. You need a great CV and covering letter, you need to impress at interview and before all of that you need to actually find great opportunities to apply for.

However, spending hours scrolling through various job boards isn’t the only way to find a new role. Sometimes the role will find you. If you set yourself up with our 3 steps, you’re much more likely to hear about opportunities that suit you. So, what are you waiting for? Here’s what to do:

    1. Perfect your LinkedIn Profile

Many recruiters and employers use LinkedIn to search for their next hires. By ensuring that your profile is complete and looking good, more opportunities may start coming your way.

If you need some tips on perfecting your LinkedIn profile, check out this article.

    2. Follow Companies on Social Media

When a new role comes available where do companies share it first? On their website and on social media! If you’re interested in working for a particular company, be sure to follow them in order to hear about their opportunities first.

It’s also worth following relevant recruiters on social media. Recruiters will also share their opportunities so you can easily keep an eye out for roles that suit you.

Once you’ve followed the right companies, relevant jobs will be conveniently popping up in your social news feeds on a daily basis!

    3. Submit your CV to CV-Library

CV-Library is the UK’s largest CV database. How does this help you? Because that’s where recruiters and employers are going to look for their next hire!

Employers can easily search for people with the relevant skills, experience and location for their job openings. If you come up in their search and they like the look of your CV, they will approach you about the role and you can decide whether you are interested or not. Sounds good, right?

Submitting your CV is quick and easy and you can specify what roles you are looking for. Follow this link to get started.
