5 Career Ideas for People Who Love Cars

For those who were playing with model race cars and Hot Wheels back in the day, your love for cars may have only gotten stronger over the years. As you venture into the working world, the idea of sitting in an office all day may fill you with dread. Instead, why not look for a career that enables you to get behind the wheel and drive to your heart’s content?

Whether you love the look of cars, being in them, or the mechanical side of things, here are some perfect careers for individuals who love cars.

    1. Driver

We can’t kick things off without discussing one of the most ideal careers of all for car enthusiasts – driving! Some popular roles include taxi drivers, Amazon delivery drivers, and even stunt drivers. If you need to get your own vehicle for a role, why not consider going electric? Not only are electric cars better for the environment, but they can also work out cheaper too, especially if you decide to lease. Lvelectrix.co.uk has a guide on what an electric car lease is, as well as other information on electric vehicles to help make your mind up.

    2. Car Salesperson

If you’re a people person and have the gift of the gab, it may make sense to go into a car sales role. In this field, you’ll be helping customers find their dream car. Sure, you may not be behind the wheel, but you’ll get to talk enthusiastically about cars all day long! You can work at a dealership and match customers with the right vehicle. Just make sure you’ve got excellent communication skills, otherwise, you’ll have a hard time selling!

    3. Mechanic

As long are there are vehicles on the road, there’ll always be a need for mechanics. This position involves you pulling your sleeves up and getting your hands dirty. If you’re a problem solver and know your way around a car, you may wish to consider working in mechanics. There are many pros linked with being a mechanic. For one, you’ll get good earning potential. Secondly, you’ll have excellent job stability. You can choose to work for an existing garage or even set up your own! The choice is up to you.

    4. Accountant

Not everyone who loves cars has to work on them. If you love figures and enjoy the business side of things, an accounting career may be your calling. You can work in a dealership behind the scenes analysing numbers and statistics. Number crunching tends to be overlooked, but it’s an important part of any business, especially the car industry.

    5. Industry Journalist

For those who have a way with words, why not step into an industry journalism role? This gives you the chance to review cars on a variety of platforms, such as a blog website, news page, or even a YouTube channel. To thrive in this role, you must have a passion for anything automotive.

If the idea of being on the road all day appeals to you, there are tons of careers that revolve around cars. Whether you set up your own dealership business, or get your hands dirty and work on vehicles, you’re sure to find a role that catches your eye and maximises your potential.
