Let’s get serious: a job interview can change your life! If you perform well and impress, you’re likely to be looking at a job offer, and how many hours of your week will you be spending at that new job? Well, a lot!

If you’ve been invited to an interview then you have already done something right, but now is really your time to shine. How are you going to show that you are better than all those other applicants? How are you going to make the interviewer remember you?

We can help you with that, just watch our video below and follow our tips for interview:

    Key Takeaways

    1. Do Your Homework

Look beyond the company website and really find out as much as you can about the company. Reeling off a few facts that you found on their ‘About Us’ page isn’t going to impress anyone.

    2. Present Yourself Well

Make a great first impression by dressing the part, giving a strong handshake, a genuine smile and by making eye contact. You’ve got to get your personality across so pump yourself with confidence and try to relax into the interview.

    3. Done Your Research? Prove it!

A memorable interviewee doesn’t wait to be asked what they know about the company – this question may not even come up! You’ve got to work in the things you know and relate the company values and ethos back to you.

You’ve also got prove that you have the skills and experience listed on the job description, leave them with no doubt that you are the right person for the job! Don’t just tell the interviewer about your skills, back them up with evidence and key examples. Think of yourself as a great communicator? Well, you should be showing that off right there and then!

    4. Ask Questions

Some well-chosen questions can further show off your enthusiasm for the company and your interest in the role and industry.

    5. Say Thank-You

If you weren’t already memorable enough, saying thank-you after your interview will definitely make you stick in the interviewer’s mind!

Following out tips for interview will help you to put your best foot forward. Now it’s over to you…Good luck!
